Can the notebookwings be used with my Microsoft Surface Pro?The notebookwings are compatible with the Microsoft Surface Pro (versions 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, X). However, the following adjustments are required: Versions 3-4 require a Microsoft Surface Dock and 2 x Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapters to function properly. Versions 5-7 can take advantage of the Microsoft Surface Dock 2, which only allows one cable per display (included with notebookwings). Version 7 can also use the native ports to connect, but you'll likely want to use the charger that's connected to your Surface to ensure the notebookwings have adequate power. Version X uses 2 included USB-C cables to provide video and power for notebookwings runtime. You'll probably want to use the charger that's connected to your Surface so the notebookwings get enough power. Please note that the notebookwings cover the built-in kickstand of the Surface, so the integrated kickstand of the notebookwings must be used. All in all, while the notebookwings are compatible with the Surface Pro, we find that they are best used on a traditional notebook rather than a tablet.
-
Are the notebookwings compatible with my Surface Book? The notebookwings are compatible with all versions of the Microsoft Surface Book. However, adjustments are required: Surface Book 1: This model has 2 x USB-A and 1 x Mini-DisplayPort. For the first display, use a Mini-DisplayPort to HDMI adapter for video and a USB-A for power. For the second display a USB-A to HDMI+USB adapter, for the video and power connection. Surface Book 2 & 3: This model only requires a USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter to provide video to the screen. The rest of the connectors work with the model's native connectors.

The notebookwings cannot be switched on.If your notebookwings won't turn on, you should first check the connections. Make sure you can power BOTH displays with video AND power. Unless your notebook has a USB-C with DisplayPort or a Thunderbolt 3 connector, you must use 2 cables per display for each display to work (1 HDMI video cable and 1 USB C power cable). If you are using a USB-C port on your notebook along with a single USB-C 90-degree to USB-C cable for power and video, ensure that your notebook accepts video signals through that USB-C connector connection supported. Search your notebook's user manual online for these details. If you are using a USB splitter or USB hub, try plugging the cables directly into the notebook ports instead of the hub or splitter and see if that resolves the issue. Most splitters and hubs split the power from a single USB port, limiting the power required for each notebookwings display. Next, make sure you are using the correct combination of cables.Click here for more information.
